Twitter Tests Bing-Powered Translation Tool

Social media platforms continue to reach international audiences, which might be why Twitter is testing an auto-translate feature.

The microblogging platform is experimenting with a new feature that automatically translates tweets into different languages with the help of Bing Translator — a free translation tool that supports 38 languages.

With the translator, you will be able to click on a non-English tweet and view a translated version below the original tweet.

Twitter Introduces New Features to iPhone and Android Apps

In addition to new improvements, Twitter has re-introduced some familiar features to its iPhone and Android apps.

The company brought back the ability to swipe individual tweets to reveal actions, such as reply, retweet, and favorite. This feature was originally available in Tweetie, which eventually became Twitter for mobile.

Brand Pages See More Growth on Google+ Than Twitter

Earlier this month we learned that many of the top performing brands on Google+ are consumer-focused. A new study found that those brands are growing faster on Google‘s social network than on Twitter.

The analytics site Socialbakers measured the growth by the number of followers a Google+ Page has gained over the course of a month.
